Tasks, occupations and wages in OECD countries

This article investigates the links between earnings, human capital and job tasks, using internationally comparable information from OECD Survey of Adult Skills. The authors use theoretical framework developed by Autor Handel (2013) extend their empirical results to 21 countries. data allow for a richer characterization workers' including both educational attainment measure cognitive skills. Their findings confirm predictive power tasks in explaining wage differences, within occupations, provide support model's prediction vast majority
